Casserole dish Avar stoneware 1,5 l
Rare: genuine stoneware. From the fridge to the oven and back again.
A good oven dish must be able to withstand extreme temperatures and must not taint the flavour of the food. Hardly any other material meets these requirements better than stoneware, which – compared to the usual pottery – is fired (sintered) at significantly higher temperatures and is therefore denser, more robust, more resistant to heat and cold and waterproof without further treatment (e.g. a glaze). So you can confidently put this pot straight from the fridge into the oven or microwave and afterwards into the dishwasher. The pot was made in Portugal, where the material has a long tradition. Volume: 1.5 litres.
