The discovery of kaolin deposits in numerous regions of Germany (Northern Bavaria, Upper Franconia, Upper Palatinate, Lower Silesia, Saxony, Thuringia) laid the foundations for a national porcelain industry in the middle of the 19th century. In the years that followed, a few centres of ceramic processing emerged, including the market town of Küps, which around 1900 was home to more porcelain factories than there are in the whole of Germany today. Of the many once-renowned manufacturers in the area (Albert Rosenlöcher, Wenck & Zitzmann, Ohnemüller & Ulrich, Julius Edelstein, Wilhelm Rittirsch), only one has survived the German industrial crisis of the 1970s: the Lindner Porcelain Factory KG. It is now considered ‘one of the last bastions of white gold in Bavaria’ (Fränkischer Tag, 16 March 2022).
The company, which has 15 employees and is run by owner Werner Gossel, has a considerable collection of more than 30,000 moulds and countless decorative templates. From this diverse range, we offer you a selection of products for the kitchen and bathroom. All items share the typical properties of porcelain: they do not corrode, withstand high temperatures, are acid-resistant, light-, colour- and food-safe, completely neutral in taste and odour, hypoallergenic, cut- and scratch-resistant and practically inert.
