This is a gypsum that has been mined in the area around Volterra since Etruscan times. Neither the basic geometric shapes of these lights produced near Vicenza nor the light that flows from their gypsum–ceramic body glare-free and in a granularimpressive manner draw attention to themselves. This is why they cut an equally fine figure in living rooms, hallways and stairwells. The pleasant surface can also be painted or wallpapered over in the colour of the wall or a contrasting colour.
