The glass shades of these pendant tube, table and wall lamps are opalized in a highly complex process in which the handblown internal basic form of clear glass is first “overlaid” by a middle layer of opal glass and this in turn by a final layer of clear glass (= double-overlaid glass). The light cast from such a shade is brilliant but glare-free.
