Hotel Grand Ferdinand
Porcelain switch system.
The Hotel Grand Ferdinand, located on Ringstrasse, represents the tradition of legendary Viennese elegance with echoes of Art Nouveau and urban nonchalance. However, the owners of the property, the Weitzer family, did not want to merely reconstruct a bygone era. Instead, they set out to create a unique combination of old and new. The will to take an unconventional approach is typical of all Weitzer hotels. The desire to provide guests with inspiring sustenance for the soul is noticeable everywhere. From culinary to visual and functional delights, the goal is maximum individuality and inner coherence. So it goes without saying that superficiality was not tolerated - even in switches and outlets.

"When furnishing our hotels, we always play with the historical substance of the buildings. After the historic palace in Schubertring was completely redesigned in the 1950s following war damage, we of course included design elements from this era in the Grand Ferdinand, which opened in 2017. The elegant, high-quality ceramic light switches from Thomas Hoof Produktgesellschaft are the perfect way to evoke the era. This is of one of many reasons why the company stands for high-quality in-house products and outstanding details. The beautifully designed light switches contribute to the 'harmonious whole' - a characteristic of the Grand Ferdinand that our guests are always keen to highlight."
