More details
Rocker buttons are particularly suitable for operating doorbells and door openers and, in conjunction with a relay, also for switching staircase lights. The rocker is held in position by a spring. Pressing the rocker closes the circuit; when the pressure is released, the circuit opens again.
Central insert made of porcelain, rocker made of thermoset (Duroplast). The base body of our rocker switches is made of a technical porcelain called steatite and has solid screw contacts.
On the correspondingly labelled models photoluminescent pigments that are free from radioactive substances, lead, cadmium and chrome have been applied to the contact surface of the rocker. When exposed to light, these pigments become charged with energy and glow in the dark. This means that the button can also be found in the dark. This purely physical process guarantees long-lasting function without signs of wear.
Covers & Combinations
Covers and combination options.
All switches and sockets are supplied without external cover!
The inserts can be combined with the various covers of the series and thus used in a wide variety of configurations. Round single covers, double covers and round system covers are available. You can combine all switches and sockets of the porcelain switch series with these covers. For the antenna and telephone inserts and their offshoots, there are special single and system covers that have a larger inner diameter. The system and double covers can be used in existing installations without any problems, as they have been developed according to the standard distances. The porcelain switch range fits in all standard flush-mounted boxes.
The individual parts of the porcelain switch range are not compatible with our other switch ranges.
