Rotary switch with durable spring-loaded mechanism and solid screw contacts for our full-surface white glass coverings. The handle is made of Bakelite.
Here in the version as an intermediate switch. An intermediate switch is necessary if a lamp is to be switched from more than two places. 2-way switches are used to switch a lamp from up to two places.
Installation note: The wallpaper must not be thicker than 0.5 mm in order to comply with all VDE regulations and standards. Therefore, the hollow wall boxes must be installed neatly so that the plastic disc with a thickness of 1 mm is flush with the wall. The construction of our switches with white glass coverings requires a different installation process than usual: the electrician installs the inner workings and the plexiglass ring. Then wallpaper is hung over the fully connected switch, and finally the coverings are attached. If you want to mount several individual coverings next to each other, you have to take this into account when placing the boxes; in this case, 20 mm spacers are necessary. When installing system coverings, the centres must be exactly 71 mm apart. We generally recommend the Kaiser range of hollow wall boxes, which also includes the appropriate spacers.

New originals. Spring-loaded mechanism & screw contacts.
rotary switches are the most original type of switch and have been in successful use since the beginning of electrification in the late 19th century. Like the originals from back then, our models feature a soapstone base, solid screw contacts, and a durable spring mechanism that reliably prevents the formation of material-damaging arcs and flying sparks – and confirms the switching process with the rich "click" typical of genuine rotary switches. They are modern classics that bring the sober functional reliability and simple design language of the past into the present day.

All switches, push-buttons, dimmers and sockets are supplied without outer coverings!
Round single coverings, double coverings and round system coverings are available. These can be combined with all switches, push-buttons, dimmers and sockets of the switch system Porcelain.
All coverings can be used in existing installations without any problems, as they have been developed according to the standard spacings. The switch system Porcelain fits in all standard flush-mounted boxes, only for the installation of data sockets flush-mounted boxes with increased volume are recommended.
The individual parts of the switch system Porcelain are not compatible with our other switch systems.
