Scrubbing without scratching: copper instead of (stainless) steel.
Copper is far better suited for use in the kitchen and bathroom (for example, for cleaning grills, cast-iron pans, pots, glass panes, tiles, etc.) than stainless steel or galvanised wire, for two reasons:
1. It is inherently (and therefore long-term) antibacterial and thus significantly more hygienic than comparable steel wool products.
2. Copper is a soft metal. Harder materials (e.g. porcelain and glass) can be cleaned with it without scratching. Chemical and acidic cleaning agents are usually unnecessary and can even damage the copper. To remove grease, simply combine with a little washing-up liquid.
However, the material does come at a higher price, although this is quickly offset by the fact that these products can be washed and reused. Manufactured in Lustenau, Austria.
