More details
Bakelite in front, black Duroplast behind.
We don't just use high-quality materials where you can see them. The permanently visible central insert of our outlets is made of Bakelite, the base body behind it, which is concealed after installation, is made of black Duroplast. These materials have a long tradition in electrical engineering due to their excellent insulating properties. They are significantly harder and more temperature-resistant than their thermoplastic descendants and are not made from petroleum, but primarily from cellulose. The connection terminals are designed as classic screw contacts which, thanks to the large contact surface between the cable and terminal, ensure safe operation of the outlets even under high power loads.
You can choose between different outlet models: With or without integrated shutter (a mechanical closure of the plug contacts for increased touch protection); with side or centre earthing contact; and a Swiss version is also available.
Covers & Combinations
Covers and combination options.
All switches and sockets are supplied without external cover!
The switches and sockets can be combined with the various covers of the series and thus used in a wide variety of configurations. For the inserts of the black switch series made of Bakelite® round and square single covers, round system covers and square double, triple and quadruple covers are available. You can combine all switches and sockets of the Bakelit® switch series with these covers. The system and multiple covers can be used on existing installations without any problems, as they have been developed in accordance with the standard clearances. The Bakelit® switch range fits into all standard flush-mounted boxes.
The Bakelit® switch range is also compatible with the thermoset switch range and the covers of the glass switch range. Since the porcelain switch series is built up differently in height, this is not compatible.
