Table lamp THPG copper and translucent porcelain
Age with dignity: translucent porcelain with copper.
From our own production: we acquired the translucent porcelain shades together with the remaining Magnussen porcelain lamps in Sweden. We combine them with plain copper tubes to make this table lamp. Copper goes particularly well with the warm light of these shades.
During the demanding craftsmanship of the manufacturing process, the copper tube is filled with sand so that it does not break when bent, and a thread is soldered into the cable outlet for strain relief. Another elaborate step is to align the frame precisely. This table lamp is understated in appearance, but solid in design.

More details
When Danish designer Erik Magnusson created these now famous porcelain lamps back in 1982, he made a reverberating impact. The centerpiece of these lamps are the translucent porcelain shades, whose light transmission is achieved by a precisely determined wall thickness.
Even when switched off, these lamps are a calming sight. All the more so when the shades glow in soft red tones, bathing the surrounding room in a warm light. The pendant lights have a shade diameter of either 11 or 14 cm. The floor lamp has a shade with a diameter of 14 cm. The table and wall lamps are THPG in-house developments, which were provided with an original Magnusson porcelain shade.
